About Us
Although we’re only a half hour away from world renowned tourist towns and beautiful Atlantic beaches, your drive to LaHave is going to bring you into the sticks of Nova Scotia. As you drive down the hill of our rural, wooded campground, you will feel like you're a million miles away from anything!

The whole family is sure to have fun across our 15 acre grounds, which host swimming holes and a dock, a playground and dog run, horseshoe pits and washer toss, basketball nets and a pool table, and so much more! See our Amenities page for photographs, and here you'll also find our 2025 Events Calendar, featuring just under 100 activities for all ages in the coming season!

Know that our quaint campground is intimate in size, offering just 90 campsites, which are a mix of overnight sites, rental properties, as well as monthly and seasonal campsites. Weekdays at LaHave are extremely quiet with plenty of space to fan out, and weekends are typically likely and packed with family fun!

Our Story
We are Kalen, Jamie Lee and Tundra, the relatively new owners of the LaHave River Campground! We moved to Nova Scotia from Ontario amidst the pandemic with the goal of rebuilding the campground for the community. We knew from the moment we saw the listing that it was such a special space, but we could see it needed a great deal of love and hard work to come back to life, and that's what we've been focused on since!

Prior to operating our campground, Kalen was a Welding Supervisor for a cell phone tower company. A welder by trade, but a jack-of-all-trades, Kalen is the perfect person to lead park revitalization and upgrades. Jamie Lee was a Community Engagement Manager in the non-profit world, and she brings her passions for communications, marketing and event planning to the campground. And Tundra, well, he's just along for the ride!
We are so proud to be rooted in our new life in Nova Scotia now, providing families with a warm, welcoming and inclusive space to reconnect with nature and one another. A big thank you to each and every one of you that's bringing your family camping trips to LaHave - you are breathing life into our vision for this space, and from our family to yours, we thank you!!
